I’m not saying that being called out on The Simpsons is the coolest thing ever, but I’m not NOT saying that. Congrats!

After watching the latest “Shrinking” and “Shadows” (with the Mets references), and finishing the wonderful “Man on the Inside”, I think it has been a very good week of TV.

I look forward to the Man on the Inside / Poker Face crossover when Charlie blows into town. “You got a, ehh, nice setup here, Professor… I’ve had what you might call, ehhhhh, similar experience in this, ehh, milieu of aged iniquity as it were.”

Mark Hamill once "liked" one of my tweets, which is my version of getting namechecked on The Simpsons. 😜

Back in about 2000, I wrote an email to Roger Ebert on his site (a one-man show back then) and got a reply a couple days later from him. It was only a few sentences agreeing with my comment but imagine my shock that "The" Roger Ebert would actually respond to some random person's email. It was a very kind gesture.

You also gotta love hearing Matt Berry say the phrase “sweated shirt.”

I absolutely adored A Man on the Inside and am so glad there was a set-up for a Season 2. And, as with Shrinking, I very much appreciate the short, tightly written episodes instead of padding them out to an hour.

And this was another great week for HBO’s Sunday night comedy lineup with the finale of The Franchise (hilarious as usual unless you are sensitive to jokes frequently aimed at the drek Marvel has been churning out for years) and the penultimate episode of Somebody Somewhere (possibly the sweetest and most authentic show on TV at the moment).

Alan I'm bummed you haven't reviewed Arcane S2, it has 100% on rotten tomatoes for a reason. Probably the best show of the year over Shogun (and possibly Fallout) just because the art direction and character development are so well done, plus there are 0 filler episodes (which may be its only detriment by the end).
